German Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Japan (AHK Japan)
The German Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Japan is part of a worldwide network of 120 German Chambers of Commerce abroad in 80 countries.
As a key player for promoting German foreign trade in Japan, it fosters bilateral economic relations through business matching, information campaigns and public relations work, the establishment and development of networks. It supports and represents German economic institutions in Japan on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Economic Matters and Energy. Although its principal mission is to provide support to private businesses, it also promotes Germany as a business location.
In addition, over 400 companies, as voluntary members, create a unique and exclusive networking opportunity to promote the exchange of information and ideas and to find business partners.
Since Japan is an important centre of innovation for German science and industry, one of its main activities focuses on connecting businesses and research institutes.
