Prof. Dr Türeci played a significant role in the discovery of cancer antigens, the development of individualised and standard mRNA-based vaccine candidates and other types of immunotherapy currently in clinical development.

What is your message to the world?
I believe that a combination of courage and humility can in the end contribute to achieving something that is relevant for the whole of society. I often need humility in order to develop the courage to go where no one has gone before.

Was ist Ihre Botschaft an die Welt?
Ich glaube daran, dass eine Mischung aus Mut und Demut dazu beitragen kann, letztlich auch für die Gesellschaft relevant zu sein. Oft brauche ich Demut, um Mut zu entwickeln, damit ich etwas tun kann, wozu sonst bislang keiner bereit war.
