Toiling with Tech - Human Labor, Robots and Technology in the 21. Century
Progress in automation has long been accompanied by speculation about fundamental changes in the labor economy. With recent developments in robotics and machine learning and the rise in interest in AI technologies, a discussion about their effect on communal futures of labor and work, and about underlying notions of humanity become more relevant than ever. The conference “Toiling with Tech” (27 August 2024, University of Tokyo) brings together interdisciplinary speakers from academia and business to hone current perspectives and explore alternatives.
