On March 27 and 28, 2021, the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) will host the kick-off symposium “Moonshot International Symposium for Goal 1 and Goal 3”. In this symposium, Moonshot Goals 1 and 3 will be introduced by each director.

Event Information
The Moonshot R&D Program features ambitious research goals to be achieved by 2050, two of which we hope to highlight in this symposium.
Moonshot Goal 1 is led by Program Director HAGITA Norihiro, and aims to realize “a society in which human beings can be free from limitations of body, brain, space, and time by 2050”. R&D focuses on cybernetic avatar technology that expands human physical, cognitive and perceptual abilities.
Moonshot Goal 3 is led by Program Director FUKUDA Toshio, and pursues co-evolution of AI and robot technology to achieve “AI robots that autonomously learn, adapt to their environment, evolve in intelligence and act alongside human beings, by 2050”.
