Instant COVID-19 Diagnostics would help us manage the crisis and provide a higher degree of confidence at a time when effective vaccines are not yet available. It comes as no surprise that Micro- and Nanosystems, often associated with manufacturing technologies, are helping researchers in developing fast and affordable testing.

In the NRW Japan K.K. Fireplace WebTalk Prof. Dr. Karsten Seidl will present innovative new technologies developed at the Fraunhofer Institute of Microelectric Systems (IMS) and the University of Duisburg-Essen in NRW. He will be joined by Prof. Tadafumi Adschiri, Ph.D., The Advanced Institute for Materials Research (WPI-AIMR), Institute of Multidisciplinary Research for Advanced Materials, Adschiri Laboratory, Tohoku University, who shall present technologies developed at Tohoku University.
