DAAD Project Funding (June 2024, central call for proposals)

The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) promotes cooperation projects between German and international  universities with various programs. Many of these can be used for joint research projects between German and Japanese universities. On June 12, the popular programs PPP and PAJAKO for cooperation with Japanese universities were announced as part of the central call for proposals.

JSPS Bilateral Joint Research Projects/Seminars FY2025 Call Opened

[Deadline: 2024/09/03 17:00] Bilateral cooperative programs aim to form sustained networks of bilateral research teams (etc.) evolved from individual scientist exchanges. JSPS provides financial support to excellent Japanese scientists, including young scientists, implementing such bilateral joint research projects and seminars with research teams from counterpart countries. The FY2025 application call is currently open for submissions.

German Research Fair 2024

Am 11. und 12. April organisierten der DAAD Tokyo und das DWIH Tokyo die „German Research Fair 2024“. Nach der erfolgreichen Premiere im Jahr 2023 hatten japanische Early Career Researchers bereits zum zweiten Mal die Möglichkeit, über die Online-Plattform „Easy Virtual Fair“ mit einer Vielzahl von deutschen Universitäten, Forschungsinstituten und Förderorganisationen in den Austausch zu treten.
