Postdoctoral Researchers International Mobility Experience (PRIME)

[Deadline: 2021/08/31] The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), which manages the DWIH, invites applications for the programme “Postdoctoral Researchers International Mobility Experience” (PRIME). The programme provides funding for research activities for 18 months. In principle, applicants can be of any nationality.
The programme consists of a 12-month research stay outside Germany, followed by a 6-month research stay at a German university of the participant’s choice. The grant will cover the entire 18 months. The country of residence for the first 12 months can be anywhere outside Germany, but countries where the applicant has spent more than 12 months in the last three years before the application deadline are not eligible. Applicants are also expected to develop a long-term career in Germany after the end of the grant period. The central prerequisite for application is the completion of the doctorate by the start of funding in 2022, but applicants who already have completed their PhD or will do so by August 31, 2021 are particularly welcome.
