AI MEETS HEALTHCARE – EVENT SERIES IN TOKYO IN DECEMBER 2019: Three days full of R&D, business opportunities and start-ups

Abstract: AI in healthcare is expected to support the P4 medical approach of predictive, preventive, personalized and participatory treatment and to reduce time, back-office administration and financial burdens, consequently allowing for a more sustainable and affordable healthcare system. Quality assurance for AI applications in healthcare and integrated databases for medical data are steps on the way to improved health services.

The trilateral forum will see researchers, practitioners, entrepreneurs, regulators and policymakers discuss guidelines for quality assurance of AI applications in healthcare and exchange information about national approaches to an integrated database for medical data. Following panel discussions among experts from Japan, Germany and France, related business cases will be developed in working groups to reflect all stakeholders’ perspectives and  facilitate active contributions by the audience.

Abstract: This year‘s Japan Germany Industry Forum (JGIF) focuses on artificial intelligence (AI) and its applications in healthcare with regard to new business opportunities. Medical care is highly developed in Germany and Japan. However, aging societies, constant technological advancements, and higher patient expectations pose the threat of unmanageable complexity and exploding healthcare costs. AI is revolutionizing diagnostics and drug development as well as treatment personalization and gene editing. JGIF will highlight the potential for Japanese AI developers in Germany’s healthcare market and show how AI is shaping the medical sector in Germany and Japan.

Dec 4, 2019 TechBIZKON III: Digital Health beyond 2020 - Connecting Startups, Corporates and VCs

Abstract: TechBIZKON – the startup conference bringing together innovative startups with business solutions and their related stakeholders will take place for the third time in Tokyo on December 4th, 2019. This time we will be featuring startups from Austria, Finland, Germany and their counterparts from Japan focusing on digital health technologies. Panel discussions with experts from Europe and Japan will provide insights about digital health applications and programs that are being offered in Austria, Finland, Germany and Japan, in order to support the startup community.

Twelve selected startups will present their state of the art digital health solutions and have the opportunity to win attractive prizes supporting the spread of their technologies in order to gain recognition outside of their home base. Finally, a networking reception will offer the possibility to talk directly to the representatives of the startups, as well as VCs, investors, accelerators, foreign trade promotion agencies, and many more related stakeholders.
