About the Japanese-German Green Hydrogen Material Laboratory
Our consortium is intended to create a basis for trusting, fruitful and long-term collaboration between the Technical Electrocatalysis Laboratory, TU Braunschweig and the Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Nanomaterials Center as well as the Clean Energy Research Center, University of Yamanashi. We aim to establish and sustain a real and internationally visible joint research presence between our institutions and countries. In our joint Japanese-German Laboratory, we have agreed to build a platform for material innovations to increase the efficiency and durability of electrocatalyst materials and to create an incubator for further projects from academia and industry. Our consortium is financially supported by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), Germany for a period of 5 years, starting from February 2022. The Japanese-German Green Hydrogen Material Laboratory supports the Sustainable Development Goals.
