Medical technology is a key growth industry in Japan and Germany. It is of great strategic importance in a health-conscious society. In this context, the healthcare systems in Japan and Germany face similar challenges, leading for example to close cooperation between the German state of Northrhine Westphalia (NRW) and Fukushima Prefecture spanning several years in order to foster medical technology and mutual market entry. On April 12, 2021, NRW medical technology companies with an interest in the Japanese market will be able to gather information and exchange ideas on the topic of “Microfluidics – Applications in Medical Technology”.
